The luggage compartment between the axles has grown

Since the basic frame of the Tourismo RHD is now four centimetres higher, the luggage compartment between the axles has grown for all models. Depending on the model, it has a capacity that ranges from 9.9 m³ to 12.1 m³ (a toilet next to the centre door reduces the capacity by 1.2 m³ in each case).

In addition to this, there are useful stowage compartments near the axles, designed for equipment such as snow chains or for the driver's luggage or supplies for the galley and coolbox. The two-axle models each have a large compartment on the left-hand side above the rear axle, plus another on the right-hand side behind the rear axle. Together these offer additional capacity of 1.35 m³. The three-axle models can accommodate three compartments: one stowage compartment on each side above the drive axle, plus a further compartment on the left-hand side above the rear axle.

The space around the axles is also where the development engineers have managed to accommodate the vehicle's technical features and accessories. Both the main and the auxiliary switch panels are located on the right-hand side above the front and rear axle respectively, so ensuring that they can be accessed easily and safely. The same is true for the tool kit, which is also kept in the area of the rear axle. The batteries are similarly accessible, in a compartment on the left-hand side (in the direction of travel) above the front axle (two-axle models) or on the left-hand side above the trailing axle (three-axle models).
