The new electronic key is inserted into the instrument panel on the left side. Control of the ignition and the engine start/stop system is by a two-stage function key. The switches in the cockpit have been rearranged according to their function, and their number has been noticeably reduced by multiple assignment. In the Travego Edition 1 the space formerly occupied by the gearshift joystick is now taken up by an open stowage tray.
Large, easily legible instruments
Another new feature of the display is the use of non-reflecting glass. Two large needle instruments indicate the road speed and engine speed, while two smaller instruments indicate the fuel and AdBlue levels. Using the steering wheel buttons, the driver is able to access a great deal of further information in the central colour display.
On the right side the driver operates the entertainment electronics in the usual way. The console now houses the new Blaupunkt Professional Line 3 radio system including a hands-free function and a USB connection for MP3 formats.
